Year 1: Compulsory: foundations; discrete methods; series and functions; probability; methods; optional: applied calculus; algebraic concepts; differential equations; mathematical computation; statistics; 1 or 2 other subjects. Year 2: Real analysis 1 and 2; complex analysis 1; linear algebra 1 and 2; group theory; probability 1; likelihood inference; regression modelling. Year 3: Between 6 and 10 modules in mathematics and statistics, including at least 4 in statistics; modules are available in the following areas: pure mathematics (graph theory 1 and 2; topology; linear systems; metric spaces; Hilbert space; measure and probability; integration); statistics (basic statistical theory; statistical inference; generalised linear models; survival and reliability; stochastic processes; time series; graphical models; design of experiments); mathematical education; project. Year 4 (MSCi): 8 taught modules and a project.
