Research areas include: industrial fluid mechanics: jet flows over curved surfaces; instrumentation for highly turbulent flows; aerodynamics of overhead power cables; vehicle aerodynamics: cross-wind stability; flow unsteadiness; atmospheric turbulence effects; wind noise; turbo-machinery: secondary flows in turbomachines; heat transfer on turbine blades and end walls; diffusing swan-necked ducts; blade elasticity; rotating stall in blade rows of compressors and fans; blade-row interaction in turbomachines; condensation in steam turbines.
