During this course, students will develop an appreciation of metallurgical principles and their use, and to identify technical competencies using a wide range of personal and professional skills. It is ideal if they would like to, or are currently working in, the following areas of the metals industry: metals processing; metal finishing and fabrication, including welding and casting; metals testing and evaluation; forensic metallurgy, technical sales and support; materials selection and specification; equipment manufacture.
