पाठ्यक्रमबारे सारश
The course aims to provide training in molecular nutrition for graduates in biological sciences which equips them for future careers in academic institutions, hospitals, industry or national and international agencies.
कार्यक्रमका खाकाहरू
All students take a 12-week core course in human nutrition which is based on lectures, laboratory practical classes and individual assignments; the topics covered include: nutritional physiology; nutrient metabolism; energy; growth and body composition; assessment of nutritional status; dietary assessment; nutrition in health and disease; computing and applied statistics; Master's and PgDip students take a further 6-week taught course which includes teaching on: relationships between nutrition, health and disease at the molecular level; state of the art technologies applied to molecular approaches to nutrition, including genomics, proteomics and metabolomics; nutrition and cellular signalling; molecular epidemiology; epigenetics and issues relating to nutrigenomics; society/bioethics and commercialisation; Master's students continue with an 18-week supervised original research project which is chosen to reflect the student's particular interests and training needs.
