This course covers a broad range of subject areas, from the latest semiconductor fabrication technology, right across to biological and medical applications, with the emphasis throughout on characterisation and control of materials at the nanoscale; the focus is on both the techniques necessary for scientific investigation at these very small dimensions, and the very latest research developments in this rapidly evolving area; a key part of this course is the ability to gain hands-on experience of state-of-the-art fabrication and characterisation techniques.
