Students are introduced to the global problem of malnutrition and disaster healthcare and how international organisations are approaching this issue; as part of the degree students spend time on a health promotion project in the community.

Year 1: Nutritional and health implications of food processing; human nutrition 1; social care and health organisation; promoting health and well being; the physiological responses to physical activity; an introduction to contemporary health and social issues. Year 2: Human nutrition 2; research methods and statistics; hypokinetic disease; long term health conditions; promoting healthy eating/physical activity. Year 3: Public health nutrition; physical activity and health; paediatric exercise science; inter-professional and multi agency working; foundations for public health; professional practice project; how to stud.
