Effective leadership and knowledge of the physical and mental requirements of outdoor activities enhance the quality of the experience for performers and help them achieve their potential; this course has much to offer both aspiring and practising outdoor leaders; students learn about the core leadership and sport science disciplines which underpin the outdoor leadership profession and have the chance to apply these skills in a work-based environment; students also have the opportunity to gain national governing body awards in the main outdoor disciplines and take part in expeditions.
