This intensive course is intended to help students develop as a multi-faceted performer; it is designed to give learners a competitive edge to potentially help gain a degree place at a leading performing arts institution; it is not intended to replace level 3 qualifications but to supplement them; some students choose this course instead of studying for a degree as a fast track into their chosen career in the performing arts; about half of the time is spent concentrating on developing specialist performing skill; students also have classes in the other 2 performing arts disciplines and core classes; the core classes include professional studies, which explores the performing arts economy, acting through song and repertoire and 2 performance project modules where students apply the skills learned in all 3 performing arts disciplines with an emphasis on specialisation.
