This is a vocational course taught mostly at Bury College with 1 module per year being taught at the University of Bolton. The course focuses on drama and dance and considers some of the theories and principles of performing arts as well as the broader issues of devising and organising performance and the fundamentals of the administration involved in an event or performance.

Students study a total of 16 units (5 core units and 7 specialist units and 4 option units); core units: Historial studies; research; small business management in the arts; process and production; project realisation; specialist units: acting methods and styles (genera); acting methods (epic theatre); contemporary dance techniques (solo); physical theatre; small scale touring; workshop leadership; theatre in the community; optional units: dance theatre styles; devising performance; choreography (solo); writing for performance; jazz dance technique; acting methods (masks); choreography (group); directing.
