The programme is designed for students wishing to explore the connections between the 2 subjects, and is weighted towards philosophy; students are assigned a tutor to help them select a course of study and choose the topics on which they wish to do research; students have the opportunity to write extended pieces of work, including a dissertation of 15,000 words, guided by a personal supervisor who help students structure their work and, where appropriate, advise them on how this might be developed into a PhD thesis.
