This is a bilingual course (but may be followed entirely through the medium of English); the programme aims to address the needs of individuals, communities and institutions for a more sophisticated and theoretically informed understanding of language planning, including theoretical knowledge; the programme is designed to equip students with the necessary tools to implement successful systems of language planning in the workplace, community and family.

Core Modules: the research process, language planning, bilingualism in Wales and other European countries (module on law); optional modules: public law in Wales, public sector management, work based learning, current issues in bilingualism, aspects of bilingualism, history of the Welsh language, dissertation module.
