There is a core course in critical theory, and optional modules including: art and experimental film; contemporary French and francophone culture; Latin American film and visual arts; media sociology; 'naturalism' in literature and cinema; new commitments: literature, cinema and culture in Italy 1960 to the present; new Korean cinema; the cinema of Pedro Almod�var; the cognition of music and film; the Modern city; the new wave in the 'other' Europe; the cinema of Ozu Yasujiro; Russian and Soviet cinema; sacrifice in film and literature since World War II; screen cities; students carry out a research-based thesis; in addition to the course fee (University Composition fee) students may have to pay a college fee.
