On the course students explore people�s actions and beliefs and how these are influenced by changes in society, as well as the the nature and organisation of the education system.

Year 2: 4 sociology option modules from a selection that includes: contemporary social theory; equal opportunities; violence and society; sex and sexuality; globalisation, governance and society; 2 education option modules from a selection that includes (tutoring in schools and colleges; working with children�s picture books in the primary school; writing across the primary curriculum). Year 3: 4 sociology option modules from a selection that includes: citizens, nations, states: identity and organization; bodies in context; conflict, war and peace; social policy and young people; understanding families; 2 education option modules from a selection that includes (extended tutoring in schools and colleges; developing primary practice; advanced pedagogy in early years education).
