This exciting new two year course is equivalent to 3 A Levels, providing you with a broad range of skills which enables you to access higher education here at Reaseheath or work abroad. The course is closely linked to both theoretical and practical aspects of turf management and construction. During your first year of study you will learn how to manage and look after a variety of sports turf surfaces and learn about plants and trees. In the second year you will specialise in turf maintenance and construction of turf surfaces such as golf, football and bowls. Students will undertake weekly industrial experience at a golf course or other sport facility. This course includes construction of sports surfaces, golf course management, surveying and leveling, plant and soil science, ornamental plant selection, groundsmanship, business management, machinery operations, work experience and arboriculture.
