Theatre provides students with a systematic and comprehensive understanding of the academic study of theatre and performance in both its historical and contemporary contexts and to prepare students for work in the industry or for further research by developing the skills of leadership, self and group management, initiative, personal responsibility, interpersonal skills, decision-making and independent learning; students can develop the practical skills they need to execute an artistic production process using 1 or more of the core skills of writing, directing, acting, devising or applied drama; the games design course is for students who want to develop a comprehensive understanding of the factors which shape the games industry and the techniques and principles used in the design of games.
