In the 1st year, projects cover basic materials and manufacturing processes in jewellery, metal, ceramics and glass, and research and design development skills are developed through a series of creative briefs; in the 2nd year, students begin to specialise or combine materials and work on live projects exploring trend prediction research, branding, and potential markets; the final year consists of a self-initiated, independently-led design and make project linked to trend and market research in promotional products, and a dissertation that is based on a subject chosen by the student to complement and help inform their project.
