You will learn about different aspects of the travel and tourism industry. You will also be given the opportunity to take part in numerous trips within the travel department. In recent years we have taken groups to Disneyland Paris, Nice, and Barcelona as well as various UK destinations.  Trips prices will vary depending on the destination being visited, all possible applicants must be aware that a cost will be incured for e are also a number of day trips to theme parks, hotels, adventure activities and European markets.

As a student you will complete a number of the above units throughout the academic year, units may change every year.  Applicants must be aware that the course leader will decide the units studied and this will apply to the whole course and not each individual student.

In order to assist you with the successful completion of your course you will be required to attend all functional skills classes.  As a student you are required to pass this element of the course and as well as attend weekly tutorial sessions with your Learning Coach.

 All students will be required to purchase a uniform, this must be worn when in college unless otherwise directed. Details of the uniform will be provided at the start of the e uniform supplier is Next. Students will benefit from the purchase of an atlas (Columbus World Travel Atlas) to aid the completion of essential units on this course, the approximate cost is £23.99 (correct at the time of printing), other prices may vary. 

Students are encouraged to purchase other travel and tourism books to aid with the completion of assignment tasks and progression
