This program provides the following opportunities: 1. It does not require a GMAT score for admission to the MAcc and advance admission takes place after your second semester in the College of Business (as long as you have taken two upper-division accounting courses). A minimum GPA of 3.4 (accounting OR overall) is required for admission. (Those whose GPA is less than 3.4 but more than 3.0 will be considered for 3/2 program if they obtain a GMAT score of at least 550.) 2. It allows you to take up to 6 credits toward your MAcc while you are classified as an undergraduate (and therefore pay undergraduate tuition for these courses). 3. It creates a more efficient way for you to complete your MAcc degree and meet the 150 hour CPA licensing requirement. 4. It will allow you to obtain up to three graduate credit hours while working as an intern (this is in addition to the three credits of internship you can take as an undergraduate). Students who are accepted into the 3/2 program may choose not to complete the MAcc degree requirements. In this event, they will receive their BBA degree upon meeting the undergraduate degree requirements. 6. Since all graduate classes are offered at night, you will be able to accept accounting jobs while you are finishing you Masters of Accounting program and obtaining your 150 credit-hour requirement for the CPA credential.

A Bachelors degree in Accounting. The GMAT requirement may be waived for 3/2 Masters of Accounting applicants who have a GPA of 3.4 or better.TOEFL and IELTS:Most applicants whose native language is not English need to submit official scores for either of these tests. Test scores cannot be more than two years old. An international applicant is exempt from the TOEFL, if he or she has earned a bachelor's or advanced degree within the last five years at a regionally accredited or recognized institution in the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore or the United Kingdom. * GPA 3.3. GMAT 530 (Verbal: 25, Quantitative: 25, Writing: 3.5). International Students: TOEFL 550/paper-based test or 213/computer-based test (550/213 acceptable but must be tested again by UH English Language Institute).No work experience required. ACC 201 & 202 (Introduction to Managerial & Financial Accounting) must be completed prior to admission
