This program prepares students for entry-level management positions. Courses also provide a foundation for upper division courses in a baccalaureate degree program in business. Students can apply significant business principles, produce work-based learning projects, and demonstrate the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Students will be able to: recall significant business issues, theories, and applications relevant to entry-level management positions and subsequent upper-division coursework; apply business principles to produce work-based learning projects related to entry-level management positions; demonstrate the ability to follow instructions on assignments and class activities.

Admission to this college is opened for applicants possessing a high school diploma or the equivalent or any individual who is at least 18 years of age and capable of profiting from the instruction. International students with a TOEFL score of less than 475 paper-based, 153 computer-based, or 53 internet-based are required to take the Allan Hancock College English as a Second Language (ESL) assessment test for placement into the appropriate ESL classes before registering for classes. And those who with a score of 475 paper-based (153 computer-based) or higher on the TOEFL are required to take the Allan Hancock College START test for English placement.
