This program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Graduates of this state-approved program are eligible to apply to write the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for registered nurses. The course study is 69-credit hours which includes classroom and laboratory instruction on campus as well as supervised clinical experience in affiliating health agencies. Because there are more students applying for nursing courses than is possible to enroll, an Admissions Committee selects students for the program.

The modules are as follows: NURS 1116 FUNDAMENTALS OF NURSING, NURS 1128 ADULT NURSING, NURS 2228 MATERNAL AND CHILD NURSING, NURS 2238 ADVANCED NURSING, NURS 2252 TRENDS AND ISSUES IN NURSING.

Applicants must have completed high school core curriculum requirements such as four units in English - grammar, composition and literature, three units in mathematics - algebra I and above, two units in history - must include one unit of American history, two units in lab science - biology, chemistry, physics or any lab science certified by the school district, one unit in citizenship skills - economics, geography, government, non-western culture, three units in other - additional units of subjects above and/or from computer science and/or foreign language. Applicants should have graduated from an accredited high school or should have earned a General Education Diploma (GED). In addition to this, international students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (paper-based), or 61 (internet-based); or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0.
