The purpose of this program is to prepare the graduate to be qualified to eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)-RN and to practice as an associate degree registered nurse. The program's graduates will: develops insight through reflection, self-analysis and self-care; engages in self-directed learning; demonstrates leadership in nursing and health care; collaborates as part of a health care team; practices within, utilizes and contributes to the broader health care system; practices relationship-centered care; communicates effectively; makes sound clinical judgments; uses the best available evidence.

Students must have completed equivalent secondary or high school with a "C" average or better, upper secondary and/or post-secondary school records. They are required to have a minimum score of 53 on the iBT, 153 on the computer based test or 475 on the paper based test in TOEFL or 5.5 in IELTS or earned pre-1st grade STEP Eiken as a proof of English language proficiency.
