The purpose of this program is to prepare the graduate to be qualified to practice as an associate degree licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA), and to qualify for the licensure exam administered by the Physical Therapy Licensing Board for Oregon. Professional competencies: exhibit a commitment that reflects the expectation of members of the profession and the health care services industries; define relationship capabilities that PTA’s need to work with clients and colleagues, the knowledge and skills of practicing the discipline and competencies that encompass understanding of the broader health care system.

Students must have completed equivalent secondary or high school with a "C" average or better, upper secondary and/or post-secondary school records. They are required to have a minimum score of 53 on the iBT, 153 on the computer based test or 475 on the paper based test in TOEFL or 5.5 in IELTS or earned pre-1st grade STEP Eiken as a proof of English language proficiency.
