This program prepares graduates to work as surveying technicians under the direction of a professional registered surveyor. It is designed to provide a foundation in mathematics, natural science and communication skills as well as the surveying skills necessary to become a Certified Surveying Technician (CST) under the National Society of Professional Surveyors’ (NSPS) testing program.

International students are not required to take the SAT or the ACT for standard admission. However, these tests may be required for direct admission and scholarship consideration. Undergraduate students must achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 173 (61 Internet-based test), a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or a minimum MELAB score of 69. TOEFL, IELTS and MELAB scores are valid for two (2) years from test date. The University of Akron accepts only valid test scores.
