This program is the study of health care organizations, roles of health care workers, public policy, information technology, financial management, and regulatory and ethical issues of health care. The current strengths, weaknesses, and challenges of the U.S. health care system are discussed. Students also critically examine the current state of health and disease, health care’s laws and ethics, the psychology of health, and financial operations of the health care system.

The modules are as follows: HCA210 Introduction to Health Care, HCA220 The Language of Health Care, HCA230 Communication Skills for the Health Care Professional, HCA240 Health and Diseases, HCA250 The Psychology of Health, HCA270 Financial Matters for Health Care Professionals.

Applicant must have earned a high school diploma, GED, California High School Proficiency Examination certificate, or foreign secondary school equivalent. Applicants who do not currently meet this requirement can arrange to take the GED through their state GED administrator's office or search for the nearest GED testing center. They can be currently employed and if not, they must have access to an organizational environment that allows them to apply the concepts they learn in their courses. They can be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or hold an approved, valid visa if attending a campus located in the United States. Students should pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC), the Berlitz Online English Proficiency Exam or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) if the student is a non-native speaker of English.
