This program is designed to prepare students for further baccalaureate study in social work. Career opportunities for the college graduate with a major in social work are found in governmental, private, and voluntary agencies. Typical agencies include family services, children's services, public schools, hospitals, mental health centers, and probation/parole boards. A career in social work requires self-discipline, emotional stability, and intellectual creativity. Students should be interested in people of widely varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

Students must have earned a certificate of completion of secondary education that would enable the student to be admitted to a university in his or her home country, have studied mathematics and science subjects at the secondary level, a minimum score of 173(CBT) or 61/120 (IBT) in TOEFL (College of Engineering and Computer Science requires 197(CBT) or 71/120(IBT)), a minimum score of band 5 in IELTS, 1140 or higher in SAT or 25 or higher in ACT for coming directly out of secondary school with GPA is 3.25 or higher and must ranked among the top 10% of their graduating class.

This university provides campus housing to students through residential halls and apartments. All students are eligible to be accommodated in Hamilton Hall; it has double and triple occupancy rooms. Students who are in the University Honors Program are eligible to be accommodated in Honors Community, it has double occupancy rooms. Its amenities include fully furnished rooms, suite-style bathroom, cable, high speed internet, phone, microwave, refrigerator, vending machines, laundry facilities, floor lounges, classrooms in building, computer lab, convenience store, coffee shop, tanning salon, salon, community kitchen, air conditioning. In the Woods hall all students are eligible to be accommodated in it, has single, double, triple and quad occupancy rooms. Its amenities include fully furnished, suite-style bathroom, cable included, high speed internet, phone with voicemail, microwave, refrigerator, floor lounges, laundry, vending machines, gazebos, grills, garden, air conditioning. The College Park apartment is for 3 quarters of WSU housing, transfer or continuing sophomore, or be at least 21 years of age. It has 4 bedrooms, two bath apartments.
