This program gives students an understanding of the problem solving techniques used to program the computer as well as an understanding of the principles that govern the conceptual organization of the computer system and its processes. This program emphasizes the mathematical and scientific components of programming.

To gain admission, students are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and achieve a minimum score of 500 (standard test) or 173 (computer-based test). All International students who are admitted to HCC will be required to take the College's Academic Skills Assessment.
