As we move toward a more complex and global business environment, managers, consultants, and entrepreneurs must be able to communicate successfully, think creatively, and adapt to the uncertainties of business fluctuations and transformations. The GSU Managerial Sciences degree programs provide students with the skills to meet these challenges. Within the Managerial Sciences Department, the Herman J. Russell, Sr. International Center for Entrepreneurship and the W.T. Beebe Institute of Personnel and Employment Relations provide exciting learning opportunities for students. The department also has close links with the Atlanta business community. For example, an invitation-only Human Resources Executive Roundtable, sponsored by the department, attracts membership from such prominent companies as Scientific-Atlanta, Georgia Pacific, and BellSouth. Similarly an invitation-only Society of Entrepreneurs Roundtable serves growth stage entrepreneurs in the local community. Our faculty brings tremendous enthusiasm and personal interest to classrooms populated by truly exceptional students. Because of the breadth and excellence of the Managerial Sciences Department, it receives considerable recognition for its own programs and for its contribution to college-wide programs. This year, U.S. News & World Report ranked the college's MBA program for working professionals as 6th in the nation.

University Housing offers a variety of choices from which student may select. University Commons: Brand-new for Fall 2007, the University Commons is a 4.2-acre complex of four apartment buildings ranging from 8 to 15 stories surrounding a large landscaped courtyard. University Commons will house 2,000 students in contemporary two and four bedroom furnished apartments. The Lofts contains fully furnished loft-style apartments that blend an urban style with modern-day conveniences. Housing approximately 450 residents and conveniently located adjacent to campus. The Lofts is home to the Undergraduate Scholars Program, undergraduate students 21 and older, graduate students, and students with families.
