This program focuses on European, Latin American, and North American cultures studies. It integrates the fine arts, popular and folk arts, material culture, philosophy and social history.

The modules are three credit hours in 2000-level Humanities prerequisite courses: HUM 2230 - European Humanities: Renaissance through Twentieth Century, 3 credit hours in Interdisciplinary Historical Survey courses. Select from HUM 2210 - Studies in Culture: The Classics Through Medieval Periods, HUM 2250 - 20th Century European Culture, AMS 2270 - 20th Century American Culture, HUM 2466 - Modern Latin American Culture, 3 credit hours in Introductory Genre courses. Select from: FIL 1002 - Introduction to Film, HUM 2522 - Introduction to Popular Music, a similar course approved by the department, 3 credit hours in HUM 3804 - Introduction to Cultural Studies: Prereq. HUM 2230 Students must pass this course with a B- or better to register for the Pro-Seminar. 9 credit hours (3 courses) in Concentration Area. Select either "Ancient, Medieval, and Early Modern Concentration" or "Modern Concentration, 9 credit hours (3 courses) in Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies: HUM 4391 - Places, Spaces, and Regions, HUM 4825 - Identity and Power, HUM 4890 - Genres and Media, HUM 4824 - Issues in Cultural Theory and Aesthetic Form, HUM 4261 - Cultural Periods and Styles, 6 credit hours in Pro-Seminar/Senior Seminar two semester, senior-year sequence: HUM 4331 - Pro-Seminar, HUM 4931 - Seminar in Humanities.

Students who have completed at least the equivalent of their high school diploma in schools taught in their native (non-English) languages will be considered to have met the requirements of FLENT and FLEX if they meet the Florida Board of Governors with SAT or ACT scores in reading and writing. They must have earned a TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based test, 79 on the internet-based (IBT), 173 on the computer-based test, or IELTS score of 6.5, demonstrating they have college-ready English Skills. Students with lower TOEFL and IELTS scores will be considered to have met the requirements of FLENT and FLEX once they successfully complete level 5 in their approved pathways programs. The TOEFL requirement may be waived on an individual basis when appropriate alternative evidence of English language proficiency is presented in writing (including an SAT critical reading score of 460 or better and SAT reading score of 440 or better, or an ACT English/writing score of 18 or better and an ACT reading score of 19 or better or the completion of English composition I and II with a grade of C or better at an English speaking post-secondary institution).
