This program gives students the knowledge of literature, writing, and language necessary to become secondary school teachers.

The Applicants need not take the ACT or SAT tests for admission; however, they may be required for entrances into some ASU schools/colleges. Applicants whose native language is not English must provide evidence of English language proficiency. The English proficiency requirement may be fulfilled by meeting one of the following: Minimum score of 500 (paper-based), 173 (computer-based), or 61 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); Minimum overall band of 6.0 with no band below 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
