This program is designed to study, investigate, and contribute to the art, science, and practical application of audio engineering. Graduates of the program are prepared to seek careers in the application, installation, manufacturing, operation, and maintenance of audio and music recording, reproduction, processing, and reinforcement systems.

The modules are as follows: General Education Core Requirements, B.A./B.S. 59-66, Gen. Ed. Technical Requirements (hours are counted in Gen Ed.): PHY 1140, Introduction to Physics I (4), MTH 1130, Precalculus Mathematics (4), MDS 1500, Mass Media and Society (3); Major Requirements 45-47: MBU 1110, Survey of Music Business 3, PHY 2010, Physics for Audio Engineering 4, AET 1380, Survey of Recording Technology 3, AET 1450, Critical Listening for Audio Production 1, PHY 2250, Electronics and Circuit Theory 4, AET 2100, AET Seminars, Workshops, Showcases, AET 4230, Auditory Perception, and Hearing Science 3, AET 4015, Senior Practicum Capstone 3; Choose a minimum of SIX (6) HRS from AET 2000 level 6-8, Choose NINE (9) HRS from AET 3000 level 9, Choose NINE (9) HRS from AET 4000 level 9; Free Electives 6-10, Minor requirements 18-24.

International applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English language by meeting any one of the following: minimum TOEFL score of 550 paper-based test (PBT) or 80 internet-based test (iBT); minimum IELTS score of 6.5; minimum SAT Critical Reading score of 530 or ACT English subscore of 23; successful completion of ELS Language Center Level 112. All applicants with college level coursework from a foreign institution must have their transcripts evaluated by an approved foreign credential evaluation organization, such as World Educations Services (WES) or Joseph Silny and Associates or an evaluation service listed currently as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
