The Department's central mission is to prepare men and women for productive and rewarding careers in the broad design/construct/maintain arena through implementation of sound curricula and practical co-operative experience in viable settings. This mission requires that the faculty remain abreast of theory, application and industrial developments, through leadership in research and publication and through engaging the work and ideas of other educators and practitioners. Specific to the Construction Management Program, students shall be prepared to function at all levels of construction administration and shall be equipped to grow in their respective professional lives.

Living in campus residence halls is an important college experience. National research confirms that students who live on campus interact more frequently with peers and faculty, participate in more co-curricular activities, tend to be more satisfied with their college experience and be more likely to complete their degrees than students who live elsewhere. The Comforts of Home: UC residence halls offer the amenities students expect – air conditioning, high-speed internet access, cable television – with a variety of hall styles, floor plans and room types. Special-interest floors allow students to live with roommates in field of study, and leadership roles and employment opportunities are available to everyone. UC is an attractive environment that is committed to providing a safe, secure and accommodating campus. And the campus offers just about everything students need within a short walking distance. The housing contract options easily accommodate varying needs, including cooperative education and year-round housing. All rooms are furnished and come with air conditioning, high speed Internet access, a phone, local phone service, utilities and cable TV service. A premium channel upgrade is available for the cable service. Loft beds are also available. All halls feature a full fire protection system and 24-hour security. Some of the halls are ; Calhoun Hall, Campus Recreation Center Housing, Dabney Hall, Daniels Hall, Scioto-Morgan Apartment Complex, Siddall Hall, etc.
