This course is a cooperative education program aimed at developing managers who have strong understanding of technical and management principles and their application to today's complex construction projects. The curriculum is based on a DESIGN-CONSTRUCT-MAINTAIN continuum. The program is accredited by the American Council on Construction Education (ACCE).

A minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 (out of 4.00) or foreign equivalent, as determined by the admitting department. Students can prove English proficiency in a number of ways at the undergraduate level. Most students fulfill the English requirement by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Most undergraduate programs require the following minimum scores: 515 (Toefl paper-based test), or 187 (Toefl computer-based test), or 66 (Toefl Internet-based test), or Ielts overall band score of 5.5. The colleges of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), Business and Engineering require higher TOEFL scores, as follows: 550 (TOEFL paper-based test), or 213 (TOEFL computer-based test), or 79 (TOEFL internet-based test), or IELTS overall band score of 6.0.Students should take Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) to qualify for certain programs and scholarships.

The Department's central mission is to prepare men and women for productive and rewarding careers in the broad design/construct/maintain arena through implementation of sound curricula and practical co-operative experience in viable settings. This mission requires that the faculty remain abreast of theory, application and industrial developments, through leadership in research and publication and through engaging the work and ideas of other educators and practitioners. Specific to the Construction Management Program, students shall be prepared to function at all levels of construction administration and shall be equipped to grow in their respective professional lives.

The housing contract options easily accommodate varying needs, including cooperative education and year-round housing. A premium channel upgrade is available for the cable service. Loft beds are also available. All halls feature a full fire protection system and 24-hour security. Some of the halls are ; Calhoun Hall, Campus Recreation Center Housing, Dabney Hall, Daniels Hall, Scioto-Morgan Apartment Complex, Siddall Hall, etc.
