This program provides students with broad exposure to environmental problems, as well as training in essential problem-solving skills, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Environmental Informatics (EI).

The modules include Courses Required outside EBIO and EENS (five courses): MATH 1210 Calculus I; MATH 1220 Calculus II; CHEM 1070/1170 General Chemistry I and General Chemistry Laboratory I; CHEM 1080/1180 General Chemistry II and General Chemistry Laboratory II; CHEM 2410/2430 Organic Chemistry I and Organic Chemistry Laboratory I or CHEM 2500 Environmental Chemistry; Foundational Courses (two courses): EBIO 1010/1110 Diversity of Life and laboratory; EENS 1300/1310 Environmental Science and laboratory; Core Courses (six courses): EBIO 2050 Global Change Biology; EENS 2070 Weather and Climate; EENS 3100 Geomorphology OR EBIO 2040 Conservation Biology; EBIO 3040/3140 General Ecology; EBIO 4080 Biostatistics and Experimental Design OR EENS 6020 Geostatistics; EENS 6030 Geospatial Analysis (Note: must complete EBIO 4080 OR EENS 6020 prior to enrolling in EENS 6030); Elective Tracks (six courses).

Students are expected to present strong high school programs of study consisting of 18 or more academic courses taken over the four-year period as well as submit SAT or ACT test scores. Students must have standardized test scores from the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT I) and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the IELTS Test in lieu of the TOEFL.
