This program offers a distinctive educational program for managers in healthcare facilities who are interested in career advancement or individuals interested in a career in healthcare services. Through a combination of core courses, required courses, and a concentration in either Community Health/Healthcare Advocacy or Long-Term Care, students gain the comprehensive education required by professionals in health administration. In addition, internships provide students with the opportunity to explore career interests and apply theory in the world of work. Graduates of the program are prepared for employment in for-profit and nonprofit organizations such as ambulatory care facilities, residential healthcare settings, group practices, health maintenance organizations, community health settings, government agencies, and hospitals.

The McGhee Core Curriculum is required of all degree-seeking students enrolled at the Paul McGhee Division: Writing (8 - 10 Credits): The following courses may be required based on writing placement assessment, and should be successfully completed within the first three semesters: Intensive Writing Workshop / Y20.7501; Writing Workshop I / Y20.7502; Writing Workshop II / Y20.7503. Critical Thinking (4 Credits): Critical Thinking / Y20.6401. History, Culture, and Art (12 Credits): Students select one course from each subgroup in consultation with their advisor. Global Perspectives (4 Credits): World Cultures: Africa / Y20.5011; World Cultures: Middle East / Y20.5012; World Cultures: Asia / Y20.5013; World Cultures: Latin America and the Caribbean / Y20.5014.
