This program prepares the student for work in a variety of human service settings. These include youth services organizations, parent education programs, allied health care settings, juvenile and adult corrections, family and community services, long-term care facilities, and church and military family life programs. Graduates are also well prepared to pursue an advanced degree in the behavioral and social sciences, marital and family therapy studies, human development or other professional programs, leading to teaching, counseling, research or administrative positions in social service, government, education or church settings.

Applicants should have the following requirements: a high school academic record indicating graduation with a minimum of 2.50 cumulative grade point average (4.00 scale) or completion of the GED with an average score of at least 450, a minimum SAT combined score of 910 (1600 scale) or an ACT composite score of 19, a minimum score of 525 Paper Exam, 195 Computer Exam, or 71 Internet-based on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). In addition to these it is recommended that students should have taken a college preparatory curriculum including English -four years, Mathematics - two years, Laboratory Science - two years, Social Studies - three years.
