Department of Biology and Molecular Biology at Montclair State University is an exciting place to be. The department offers a variety of degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Department faculty have a broad spectrum of research interests and work closely with students in both the laboratory and field. The department is housed in Science Hall, a state-of-the-art research and teaching facility constructed in 1999. College of Science and Mathematics, the Department of Biology and Molecular Biology strives to foster in developing life scientists the ability to critically examine information and discover new knowledge through rigorous scientific reasoning. Through research and writing intensive experiences in the classroom and laboratory, students of the biological sciences develop the practical and intellectual skills to succeed in rewarding careers and become productive members of society. The Department of Biology and Molecular Biology offers general education courses and multiple major degree programs and concentrations at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
