This program provide students with both theoretical and the technical training necessary to produce program material for both broadcast and non-broadcast. Students will receive a combination of theoretical and practical courses, combined with pre-professional training applicable to careers in television, video production, and multimedia.

The modules are as follows: General Education Core Requirements 56-58; Major Requirements 30: MDS 1450, Introduction to Audio and Video Production 3, MDS 1550, Sports Production 3, MDS 2450, Remote Video Production 3, MDS 2460, Television Production 3, MDS 2480, Audio-Video Production Workshop 3, MDS 3450, Advanced Video Production 3, MDS 3550, Broadcast Scriptwriting 3, MDS 4450, Producing and Directing for AV 3, MDS Electives 6; Technical Requirement: MDS 1500 Mass Media and Society; Minor Requirements 18; Electives 22-24.

International applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English language by meeting any one of the following: minimum TOEFL score of 550 paper-based test (PBT) or 80 internet-based test (iBT); minimum IELTS score of 6.5; minimum SAT Critical Reading score of 530 or ACT English subscore of 23; successful completion of ELS Language Center Level 112. All applicants with college level coursework from a foreign institution must have their transcripts evaluated by an approved foreign credential evaluation organization, such as World Educations Services (WES) or Joseph Silny and Associates or an evaluation service listed currently as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
