Students who major in Child Development want to work directly with children and families or they want to work indirectly for children in administrative, advocacy, or researcher roles. All majors acquire a comprehensive understanding of how children grow and develop from conception through adolescence.

Students must be a high school graduate with a 3.0 (B in the US) or very good average. They should have three years of university - preparatory mathematics courses including at least Beginning Algebra, Geometry, and Intermediate Algebra. The SAT-I is not required for admission except for freshmen students with 3 or more years of high school study in the US. International students whose native is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English language by TOEFL or IELTS scores; the official international score of TOEFL is 500 on the paper-based exam, 173 on the computer-based exam, or 61 on the iBT internet-based TOEFL. For IELTS band 6 is required.
