This degree requires a minimum of 125 hours. Forty (40) of the hours required for all UNK degrees must be upper division hours, which are courses numbered 300 or above taken at a 4-year college or university. This degree is designed for students who wish to teach Health and Physical Education only, Students earning this endorsement are qualified to teach kindergarten through twelfth grade.

The student must have graduated from high school, college or university.Either a Minimum TOEFL official score (173 computer-based test, 500 paper-based test or 61 Internet-based test (IBT)), a minimum IELTS official score of 5.5, or a minimum TOIEC score of 600 is required. Verification of finances that reflects availability of a minimum $16,021 per academic year is reqired. Transcripts, grade/mark sheets, or attested copies of diplomas reflecting dates of attendance (month + year), classes, grades, rank and graduation for all high schools as well as all post secondary institutions attended must accompany the application along with complete English translation. Students are required to submit a completed Pre-Enrollment Health Record form which includes vaccination history. Completed applications should be received 3 months prior to the intended enrollment date to accommodate necessary processing time.
