This program is intended to train mathematics majors in key areas of biology, as well as in the core of discrete and continuous mathematics.

The modules include Math104; Math 114, or Math 116; Math 240, Math 360 (or 508), 361 (or 509), 370 (or 502), 371 (or 503), Biol 121 (1.5 c.u) and Biol 124 (0.5 c.u.), two of the following: Biol 221 (Molecular Biology and Genetics), Biol 230 (Evolution), Biol 240 (Ecology) and three of the following: Biol 412 (Evolution of Populations) or Biol 412 (Ecology of Organisms and Populations) or Biol 414 (Adv. Ecology), Biol 536 (Computational Biology), Biol 537 (Advanced Computational Biology), GCB 531 (Introduction to Genome Science), Biol 451 (Systems Neuroscience), One additional course such as Biol 402 (Biochemistry) or Biol 421 (Molecular Genetics), Chem 1 or Chem 101 or Chem 102 or Physics 151 and the accompanying lab course in each case , Biol 101 (1.5 c.u.) and Biol 102 (1.5 c.u.), two of the following: Biol 221 (Molecular Biology and Genetics), Biol 230 (Evolution), Biol 240 (Ecology) and two following: Biol 412 (Evolution of Populations) or Biol 412 (Ecology of Organisms and Populations) or Biol 414 (Adv. Ecology), Biol 536 (Computational Biology), Biol 537 (Advanced Computational Biology), GCB 531 (Introduction to Genome Science), Biol 451 (Systems Neuroscience) other choices such as Biol 402 (Biochemistry) or Biol 421 (Molecular Genetics), Chem 1 or Chem 101 or Chem 102 or Physics 151 and the accompanying lab course in each case.

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विद्यार्थीहरू प्रवेशको लागि आवश्यकता

Applicants should have completed a program of secondary education. They should also take up the SAT Reasoning test and two SAT subject tests, or the ACT with writing. Penn tends to admit students with a TOEFL score of 100 and above in Internet-Based test, 600 and above in Paper-Based test and 260 or above in Computer-Based test. However, if a student scores higher than 650 on the Critical Reading Section of the SAT Reasoning test, then the student is exempted from taking the TOEFL exam.
