The mission of Women’s Studies is to promote and support teaching, research, and outreach that work to contest historical, ongoing, and pervasive gender-based oppressions within society.

All applicants whose native language is not English must prove college-level English proficiency. Students must satisfy this proficiency requirement by presenting a TOEFL score of 500 (PBT) or 173 (CBT) or 61 (iBT); or by presenting an IELTS score report of 6.5 or higher, or by completing the English program at the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL)with a letter of endorsement.
