This program consists of 120 hours divided as follows: 42 hours in the University Core, 36 hours in an applied technology specialization, and 42 hours in professional development. The undergraduate program consists of required coursework in personal development, instructional strategies, leadership, basic and advanced computer technology, human relations and communications. Within this degree is an option to pursue career and technical education teacher certification at the secondary level. Students in the BAAS degree program are preparing for careers in business, industry, government and education. This degree program is designed for students who have completed an associate degree in a technology program at a community college and/or have 3-5 years of employment experience in one of the fields of applied technology. Additionally, it is designed to provide a pathway for community college student to complete a bachelor’s degree program.

Students must have graduated from an accredited high school and strongly recommend that students take the following classes in high school. Students should have a strong ‘B’ average and have completed three units of English and two units each of solid mathematics, social science and natural science. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
