This program integrates communication theory and hands-on experience to guide their study of Internet Communication. Students will master the mechanics of scripting languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the context of visual effects, ease of use, and compliance with copyright law. Student will develop the expertise to interact with the Web and its users to create appropriate and effective messages suited to the medium.

COMM 3303 - Communication Graphics, CTEC 2350 - Introduction to Communication Technology, JOUR 1345 - Writing for Mass Media, Level 2: COMM 3300 - Communication Technology, CTEC 3320 - Visual Communications and the Internet, CTEC 3350 - Website Communication, COMM 4310 - Communication Law and Regulations, Level 2 or 3: COMM 3302 - Professional and Technical Communication, A 3-hr elective from the Communication Department. Qualified students are strongly encouraged to complete CTEC 4395 Professional Internship, Level 3: CTEC 4309 - Communication Technology, CTEC 4321 - Visual Communications and the Internet, CTEC 4323 - Website Communication, CTEC 4350 - Advanced Website Communication.

Students should have completed official secondary school (high school) transcripts, diplomas, certificates, and/or national test examination scores as appropriate for the educational system in their country. Students must possess the equivalent of a U.S. high school graduation based upon a combined elementary and secondary pattern of twelve years with a better than average academic record.
