This program prepares students for working with the rapidly changing structure of contemporary society. Specific areas of study include human development, marriage and family studies and therapy, counseling, human sexuality, faith development, and social services. This major blends theory in human development, counseling, and social work, with supervised off-campus field experience in a variety of human service settings.

International applicants must be a graduate of a secondary school system or the equivalent and must have sufficient proficiency in the English language so they are able to study at the college level. A minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 (pbt), 173 (cbt), or 61 (ibt) or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall band score of 6 is required. International applicants may also elect to submit an official Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score or American College Testing (ACT) score.
