This program is based on a solid foundation in the areas of chemical engineering science that are common to all of its branches. Courses in organic and physical chemistry, polymeric materials, biochemical engineering and process control are offered in addition to chemical engineering thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, separations, process analysis, reactor design and process and product design. Thus, the chemical engineering graduate is equipped for the many challenges facing modern engineering professionals. Chemical engineering courses include significant use of modern computational tools and computer simulation programs.

Students must have official high school transcript(s), a minimum score of 550 on the verbal section of the SAT, the minimum TOEFL score accepted is 550 and on the Internet Based Test (IBT), the minimum TOEFL (international students from non-English speaking native) score is 79.
