The program has been established as a partnership between the Kentucky Community College Technical System (KCTCS) and the University of Louisville. Students will complete their Associate in Applied Science in Criminal Justice (general education and criminal justice courses) through KCTCS and then transfer to the University of Louisville to complete additional required and elective criminal justice courses as well as upper-level general education requirements. They will then have completed their Bachelor of Science in Justice Administration from the University of Louisville.

Students should have a complete academic record includes all official transcripts of courses of study completed and degrees/certificates earned at the secondary or collegiate level. Official transcripts of credit earned from U.S. educational institutions should be mailed directly to the Office of Admissions. Undergraduate applicants who have attended post-secondary schools, colleges, universities, or professional institutions outside the United States must submit their academic records to Educational Credentials Evaluators, Inc. (ECE) or World Education Services, Inc. (WES) for a course-by-course evaluation. All applicants for whom English is a second language need to show evidence of sufficient proficiency in the English language. Applicants may demonstrate English proficiency by submitting Test of English as a Second Language (TOEFL) scores of 213 or higher on the computer-based test, 550 or higher on the paper-based test, 79 or higher on the web-based test, or successfully complete the advanced level of the University of Louisville's Intensive English as a Second Language (IESL) Program. Freshmen or transfer applicants with fewer than 24 transferable credit hours are required to submit scores from the American College Testing (ACT) Program. Scores from the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) may be substituted where ACT is unavailable. Students will be asked to demonstrate their financial resources to support their educational and living expenses.
