This program is well integrated and modern with a strong emphasis on field skills and team work. It is an integrated treatment of the ecological and social aspects of natural resource conservation and management. Graduates of the Applied Ecology and Environmental Sciences program are employed with the US Forest Service, State Divisions of Natural Resources, Environmental Consulting Firms, US Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Park Service.

Students must have a 2.75 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) for admitting into College of Engineering or School of Technology, 2.5 for other programs and schools, a minimum 550 PBT, 213 CBT, 79 iBT (paper-based, computer-based, internet-based) in TOEFL or 690 in TOEIC or 6.5 overall band score in IELTS, minimum 420 writing, 500 critical reading, (550 Math/Quantitative) in SAT 1.
