This program is ideal path for those wishing to earn a degree in Elementary Education. In this state licensure program, students graduate with the skills and certification to teach Pre-K through 6th grade in the State of Virginia. In the Elementary Education major, Regent students learn about curriculum design, child and adolescent growth and development, using technology in education, and classroom management techniques. The program so unique is its blend of Christian principles and coursework into the elementary education curriculum. Students learn about character development and their own spiritual formation and Christian worldview throughout their program. This major is more than just learning theory though—it's a lot of hands on application.
