In this program students will have the goal to teach at the high school level, they can earn their BS degree, take additional education courses, do their student teaching, and qualify to take the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification. The student's certification is recognized in many states, they will also be qualified to teach in other disciplines.

Students must have a 2.75 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) for admitting into College of Engineering or School of Technology, 2.5 for other programs and schools, a minimum 550 PBT, 213 CBT, 79 iBT (paper-based, computer-based, internet-based) in TOEFL or 690 in TOEIC or 6.5 overall band score in IELTS, minimum 420 writing, 500 critical reading, (550 Math/Quantitative) in SAT 1.
