This program is designed to provide students with an understanding of the fundamental concepts and methodologies of the biological sciences, to develop the ability to engage in scientific research, and to investigate the relationships between biology and other fields of study, including social and environmental sciences. Honors recognition will be indicated on the student’s transcript. Students pursuing this option must meet the necessary requirements. Professional Honors Option is designed to challenge students of an advanced academic ability by providing a program of study involving a unique set of courses and distinguished research. Completion of this program will be indicated as “Professional Honors” on the transcript.

International applicants must be a graduate of a secondary school system or the equivalent and must have sufficient proficiency in the English language so they are able to study at the college level. A minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 (pbt), 173 (cbt), or 61 (ibt) or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall band score of 6 is required. International applicants may also elect to submit an official Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score or American College Testing (ACT) score.
