The Information Systems curriculum prepares students to manage an organization's information resources, analyze and manage the flow of information within and across the organization, effectively manage the acquisition and utilization of information technology, and use both information and technology to enhance the organization's strategic advantage. Information systems are a part of all organizational functions, including accounting, finance, marketing, operations, and human resource management. Employment opportunities are strong within the Information Systems field. IS students are prepared for a variety of jobs, such as systems analyst, programmer, database administrator, web developer, and network administrator.

Students applying for this program must have all the requested official English language proficiency score report. Students should have 61 iBT (173CBT/500PBT) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or 69 on the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) or 440 on the SAT Writing Section or 18 on the Combined English/Writing section of the ACT. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for freshman applicants or a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for transfer applicants. The admissions office will determine grade point average if one is not available on a student's academic record. Students must have a statement of financial support that verifies that $ 25,563 will be available to the university to cover estimated costs for the academic year.
